CORSAIR FRAME 5000D: Everything You Need to Know

Since we launched the FRAME 4000D, PC builders can now explore different ways to mount fans and radiators, swap out panels with diverse designs and materials, etc. This is all due to the FRAME 4000D’s full modularity and customization features, allowing PC builders to configure their setup exactly how they want it and change it going forward.

However, many builders require more space to work with, which is why we've taken all those modular features from the FRAME 4000D and put them into a larger, more capable chassis. Introducing the FRAME 5000D. Let's take a look.

Before we dive into the details, let’s make a quick comparison between the FRAME 5000D and FRAME 4000D. Aside from the obvious, which is the overall dimensions, what else does the FRAME 5000D offer?

Both the FRAME 4000D and FRAME 5000D support reverse connection motherboards; however, the FRAME 5000D features a modular pegboard pattern on its MB tray, allowing you to relocate and position cable management straps where needed precisely. This newer, simplified cable management system is known as CORSAIR RapidRoute 2.0.

It also opens the door to 3D printing various mechanical parts or alternative cable features.

Due to an increase in size, cooling capabilities are another facet where the FRAME 5000D has an advantage over the FRAME 4000D, specifically in supporting 140mm fans. You can also fit more SSDs in the FRAME 5000D compared to the FRAME 4000D, allowing users to add more storage to their build.

The FRAME 5000D is a premium case, so it's natural to provide built-in adjustable GPU support, removeable cable management tie downs, and rubber grommets have also been added, giving your build a cleaner appearance. Additionally, we've used less tacky adhesive for some of the branding, so you can remove it if you find it too intrusive.

There is also a cable route on the internal side panel, providing extra space for your 24-pin cable and any additional front I/O for those who are yet to upgrade to reverse connection motherboards.

The FRAME 5000D is available in two variants. The first variant includes four RS120 ARGB fans pre-installed, allowing direct connection to your motherboard's ARGB port for RGB lighting control via the motherboard's software.

The second variant features four non-RGB RS120 fans, perfect for users wanting a subtle, stealthy setup without compromising on the RS fan's cooling capabilities. Both models are offered in black and white color options. and both of those variants come in black and white colorways.

The FRAME 5000D allows users to customize and configure their computer cases according to their specific needs. This feature provides flexibility in terms of component placement, cable management, and cooling solutions. Below this improved front panel design you'll find a tasteful ARGB light strip. You can set this to whatever color(s) you like, or leave it unpowered if you prefer to role sans-lighting.

High-end GPUs, such as the 5080 and 5090, tend to be large and heavy, which can put a significant amount of stress on your motherboard's PCIe slot, possibly resulting in lasting damage.
